How "Persuasion through Presentation" works..

This two-day programme is in a Workshop format during which participants not alone learn new concepts and techniques - but will also be given a number of opportunities  to use this learning to prepare for an upcoming presentation. The final videotaped presentation can be an abbreviated version of this future presentation. 

 

In addition, participants will have a number of presentation opportunities when they deliver a spontaneous presentation and while they practice delivery skills techniques and answering difficult questions.

 

There are five main Modules in the Workshop

 

Groundwork

Covers the critical information necessary for a persuasive presentation to be effective. How to demonstrate an understanding of: audience needs, audience profile, use productive self-talk skills, and anticipate questions.

 

2  Delivery Skills

The module addresses delivery skills in terms of Hands and Arms, Body Movements, Eye Contact, and Voice Tone Emphasis and Diction.

 

Engage

Is built around the 5 elements necessary to engage the audience and the key questions that every presenter must answer to successfully connect with the audience.

 

4   Develop

How to build the core of the presentation in a way that is logical, sustainable and convincing.

 

5   Close

Addresses the issue of the final impression left with the audience. The elements of the Close are built around three questions the presenter must answer to be effective.

 

Video Taped Feedback

The programme begins with a spontaneous video taped two-minute presentation to provide a baseline for skill development. The second video-taped presentation focuses on verbal and non-verbal delivery skills.

The final video taping is 5-10 minutes which includes a private one-on-one coaching session with the facilitator
